During a recent discussion with the "Seamasters Club" it was stated that the hulls of the RLM cruisers were not infact built by Seamaster.
My research to date and other technical papers suggest that the RLM was built on the Seamaster hull and you have to look very hard to see a differance.
Any input and comments from you old experts out there will be interesting

I may be wrong (has been known) but I thought the RLM '32' ft hull was built by Marine Projects. Its the same as the Project 31, Princess 32, Senior 32, RLM etc. - or are we talking about a different moulding ?

I believe you are correct about the RLM/Princess 32 connection. I also was once told that the 27 had a connection with the Elysian 27. I maybe wrong. One thing I am fairly sure of, was that the RLM had nothing to do with Seamaster.

RLM/Princess

Just looking at them. you'd say the hulls were identical, wouldn't you? In comparison, the Seamaster hulls were totally different.

Thanks for your replies gents,I think all the RLM hulls must of been built on senior hulls and yes the "elysian does look like the RLM 27 but I in detail there appears to be a number of differances
Its funny that we have not heard from someone outthere that worked at RLM who could be a bank of information and history.
I was once told that originaly RLM (stands for Raymond Lenard Michem or something) was a cabinet maker but he sure built a few boats how many would be interesting.

Happy sailing
