Horrible little things! Returned back to my boat after only 1 week of neglect and 4 of the b*st*rds had set-up home on my bathing platform. Wouldn't have minded so much but they seem to make their beds out of 3 inches of their own sh*t. Spent most of the morning cleaning up after them!! I now have fenders dangling off the davits to put them off.

Does anybody have any better ideas to help keep them away?

p.s. I don't have a shot gun but if anybody out there does you are welcome round anytime

Only allowed to shoot the buggers with steel shot now, not lead (in case they get lead poisoning, I kid you not!). Not sure you'd want me doing that on your swim platform, would you?

No, we would make a sport of it. I would kick them off first then follow them down the river in the boat - you can stand on the bow with your shotgun. It's the marine equivalent of fox hunting!!!!

Amazes me why they crap and then sit beside it - do they think they will sink if they open their sphincter in the water ? There must be a chanel 4 series in this for
disgusting animals

Try draping some garden netting over the stern, weighted to cover the platfoem
