Was about to fit one of the plastic pocket winch handle holders when I came across the socket type. Never tried one of these, are they better?

I have one on the mast. It can be rotated once the handle is locked in so you can align it as required. It does however mean that the handle does stick out more than a pocket which means it could be prone to ropes catching on it but I have not had a problem.

+1, sockets work for us- on aft face of cabin, means you can swing handle up out of the way when you want to lie down and snooze/read in the cockpit in the sun(???!!!!).
the soft plastic one sticks in the back of the port side dozer! Mind the door handle does for the stbd dozer:D

Just wondered if it was a hassle clipping it back in every time you changed tack. Don't want to fit it then no one bothers to use it.
From what I can see on pictures it seems like some of them rotate and other sockets are fixed.
