Which Water Filter?

Morning Wise Ones,
We are looking for a good quality water filter. As permanent cruisers, we need one that is going to last and do a good job. If you know wot I mean.
Thanks for any advice that you can give on this subject.

I use an Aqua Filter kind of looks like a large screwon oil filter.. makes it easy to change the elements each year... no probs with it and it gets rid of the Milton/ Aqua Tab etc taste...
At around 15 notes you could carry a spare element or two??

We have the american nature pure by general ecology ? one on board. Not cheap but it had the best write up in pbo a few years ago. It just about strips out all impurities apart from salt ...
