Which VHF

I asked what people thought about an ICOM M421 as a replacement VHF a week ago and had a good reponse back. Thank you.

Since then I've been told of a Silva S15 that includes Navtex, which seems an ideal
solution on a small boat, and wondered what your opinion would be on that.

Avoid like the plague - there had been a lot of talk about this set on here - do a search and you will see.

Not only that i have used a silva radio, and it sucked, really cheap and nasty.

you can't beat and icom or simrad VHF. both get my thumbs up

Can't go wrong with Icom but I ended up with the Raymarine 54E which I would also recommend.

The review misses one of the best radios in that price range.

On each of the reviewed radios they find one or two items or features they really like, but none has them all included, but the one they did not look at, which has 95% (no remote station available).
