Just to round this off....
Left St Kats Dock early one beautiful summer morning,perfect conditions, headed downstream, past that rowing club, one of their boats visibly overwhelmed , all the crew in the water.
Cannot recall if they were wearing any from of floatation devices.
Several commercial working craft heading over to provide assistance.
We stopped and held station but could probably not have offered any practical assistance.
Do not recall any support rib visible, call on Ch14 to request a ease up in the area a few moments later.
At least the folks on that boat would have been aware and prepared for the risks.

If you take his advice and look at his Instagram link I doubt very much you will want to engage any further. I don’t think he is actually trying to buy a kayak. I previously thought it was just a kid messing about but it’s all a lot weirder than that.
