It is old, it is GRP, has a chined hull and no foredeck (but built in buoyancy. The rig is gunter.

I know it is not a MKIII because that had no chines so am I right in assuming it is MK II?

It sounds like the Mk 11. Gull dinghy designed by Ian Proctor. Information, specification, history and advice about sailing the Gull

The Gull Class Association made its changeover to GRP in three moves. The first GRP Gull introduced in 1976 was almost an exact replica in glass of the wooden boat, but did not sell very well largely because of its cost, so a cheaper Mk II version was later introduced which had no permanent foredeck, but a detachable PBC covered nylon effort which could be removed at will.
