Re: no liferaft H?

I think this is the RYA document you are after:

Re: no liferaft H?

Yes of course ... had switched on Norwegian Keyboard support (e-mail in Norwegian), so brackets were moved and ")LOA + LWL = -2" looked so stupid that I just could not be bothered with trying to find the right ones....

Re: no liferaft H?

Re: Your pic

Yes my Dear it is...

I had to find something relevant to the reason for me being in the UK (Hagar did visit this coastline as well). Besides that he is one of my favourites...

Re: Your pic

I like the Danes... normally easy going and very friendly.
I'm not very much like Hagar (though some similarities I have to admit to), to start with, his hair colour differs from mine.... but then we are now getting into personal descriptions, which is a serious thread drift....

A lot of balls?

Strangely in Norway Hagar the Horrible is called Hårek den hardbalne. Which translates as Hårek the hardballed ( I think).

This could explain a lot... /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Re: A lot of bulls !

OK if you are going to translate, you need to look at the spelling and origin of the word... In this case you are wrong....

"Hardbalne" in this case stems from our second official language "Nynorsk" and is translated as "Hardy / Hard", "Tough " etc....

With respect to our balls, we normally let our women to chack and confirm....

Re: Your pic

I like the Danes too, My wife's Cousin had one, she also had two little Yorkies. It was quite funny to see the Yorkies bullying such a big dog.

Re: no liferaft H?

jimg is right on the RYA document...

But reading the document + MBY Dec 2002, the only exemption for the liferaft (for vessels 13.7 - 24m) is if you, non commercially, do not venture beyond 3 miles from the shoreline. (You have to decide how likely this is... but personally, I'd find that difficult to adhere to..)

Also there seems to be some "proviso's" in "The Exemption" as it states

"The exact requirements vary in accordance with the length and type of craft, its age and the area and season of operation. A full description is given in SI 1998 No. 1011 (as amended by SI 1999 No. 992) and SI 1999 No. 2721 (as amended by SI 2000 No. 2558) or for Class XII Ships only, in the MCA and BMF guidance notes."

Anyway, good luck in your negotiations on the price...
