Here's a troll if ever there was one! On P.90 of October's PBO there's an amusing article categorising different types of boat crews. There is evidently:
1) A.C.'s (Accomplished Couples) - middle aged, smart, effecient and very experienced.
2) B.O.T.L's (Boys On The Loose) - paracetomol loaded, they pursue boozy and boisterous reunions with the lads.
3) C.W.A.T.F.'s (Cruisers With All The Family) - boats bulging with several kids, animals, grandma, grandad and an assortment of other family members.
4) S.O.A.S.S.'s (Sailors On A Shoestring) - boats held together with secondhand bits bought from boat jumbles.
Now this got us thinking - we know a few L.O.M.B.A.R.D.S (Lots Of Money But Are Real Dicks), so where do we fit in this? We reckon we're:
T.O.S.S.E.R.S (Two Old Sunseeking Seafarers, Early Retired), and that I am a:
T.W.I.T. (Tosser With Inadequate Training). However wife reckons that:
"With Additional Nautical Knowledge Eventually Received", even I'll make a sailor some day - I'll leave you to work that one out!
