Anyone have any good recommendations for a broker along the south coast.Im in Christchurch.Any to avoid?
I know rossiters and Boatshed poole are nearby.

I quite like Global Yacht Brokers at Poole. Adam Baker seems very proactive to me.

I've had good experience of JD Yachts (Justin Garwell) in Weymouth, seem very proactive.

Depends on whether and what you are buying or selling. If selling, look for a broker that lists your kind of boat and is active near where the boat is located.

I know a few people who've used Ancasta and been pleased with them, both buying and selling. There's also Parkstone Bay, one of whom is a regular on here.

+1 for Parkstone Bay - aka Nautibusiness.

Peter Watt at Boatshed Portsmouth has sold my last two boats and really puts himself out to do so.

Not sure who covers Christchurch, but the service is excellent.

Bought the latest through Network Yacht Brokers in Plymouth, great for me as a buyer, but not so sure they did the Vendor any favours !

I used WHYboats for the first time and will use them again. Advertising package is excellent for £295. Watch as the conveyancing fixed fee is around £600. Work out fixed fee v brokers percentage!

I think Boatshed have gone from Christchurch so the best in that area (the only proper one I think) is Rossiters whom you mentioned. I can't remember their head brokers name but he's the son of Charlie Rossiter. He sold my friends Beneteau 35 and bent over backwards to get things done. I'm listing my boat with them at the end of the season (or sooner depending on the weather!) Not sure if this helps.

OMG I can't believe that!!!! I've deal with him quite A few times, it just shows you what can go on( no does o on !!! )

Peter Watt whilst at Boatshed sold both my last two boats. Would not expect that of him, and this really shocks and saddens me.

I am writing my Will presently and had intended to nominate him to act as agent for disposal of OB on behalf of my estate. Not that I have any specific date too soon in mind for requiring this service, it looks like I may need to re-think who I could task for this !

I used to work with him. I think we were all taken by surprise when this happened. I don't think he'll ever work in broking again.
