Which boat do you suggest

No its not, Brooker has offered a couple but only for winter months, though seems confident he will get something... though could be a ploy to sell this boat

Anyway when I'm over I'll start knocking on doors of marinas see what story really is

Whereabout in majorca are you looking to moor the boat?

I keep our boat in majorca in port adriano, I suspect I cant help with a mooring but might be able to provide other info....

South side of island, palma to andratx not overly fussy

Any help would be fantastic
 
Something to consider if you are planning to stay on the boat during July/August time is air conditioning. If you are just going to use it as a day boat, with occasional overnights, then it isn't so important. But it does get brutally hot during the summer.

Same area as us then.

I can only echo the comments above to start phoning, not emailing, the various marinas along that part of the coastline and see what they say.

That 30-40foot size is popular and I suspect moorings for that size are in demand, especially if you only want the mooring for 6 months of the year. I suspect if you can agree a yearly rental of the mooring you will probably find something is available.

Yes it's a annual mooring I want, so I shall start knocking on doors next week when over

If our coastline (northern Costa Blanca) is anything to go by, moorings are extremely difficult to obtain. An email will be ignored, a telephone call will probably be ineffectual and visiting in person (regularly) is the best approach. You might actually have to beg to beg to be put onto a waiting list!
 
Hutchins Marine are selling a Sealine S37 “Why Worry” we used to own a few years ago. A real cracker with generator and reverse cycle air conditioning, a must for the Med. Asking £89950 if I remember, but probably some wriggle room. Worth a look without doubt.

Edited to say their website shows one engine! It has two, the super reliable AD41’s.

Assuming Hutchins are selling the boat from the UK, don’t forget you are due to pay EU VAT if it’s going to stay in the med
 
I was wandering around Port Adulicia and pollensa(appreciate not the area mentioned by OP though) but seemed a fair number of boats including Pershing but rather out of budget however there didn’t seem to be a shortage of vessels. Clearly clipper marine has a presence so Bavaria would be available. I don’t really know where cranchi sit quality wise but maybe above Sealine ? Would there be cheaper berths in mainland Spain and more vessels? I guess mooring in Majorca might be 15k per annum ? It just strikes me as overpriced here based on property prices at least .

I think the era of Sealine the Op will be looking at, the quality of build and fitting out of the Sealine is superior. I base this on my boat show buying visit in 2001 and the Sealine knocked out the competition. It was also the most expensive. I bought the S37
The Med perception would be that the Windy is the best in that range, but expensive.
My boat is sold now by Burton Waters but check out the finish and this is after 23 years of Med use

Hi Simon,
Someone mentioned that you are based in Ireland like me. If you are planning to buy a boat in Mallorca you will be very limited with flights in winter. There are no direct flights to Palma from the end of November to early March.
The mainland might be a better option

Cheap and plentiful berths in St Carles.

Northern Costa Blanca, where we are, is expensive (but not as dear as Mallorca) with no availability (Denia might have some availability but it's windy there).

You can get cheap berths south of Alicante but the cruising areas aren't as nice.

Tricky to answer.... I reckon around £12k to £15k per year for a 10m/11m mooring in South West mallorca. I'd be interested to know an accurate cost if anyone has spoken to a marina recently, the above is just an educated guess, could be miles out
