Homa - if you do want to reconsider the Seacracker/Trintella - then check out www.seacracker.org.

My boat (Sergeant Pepper) is on their and though I appreciate she may be out of your price range (£28K) their is plenty of info that may be useful on the class itself.

Sgt Pepper (Humperdink) used to be a keen forumite - came on the inaugural Scuttlebutt cruise to Cherbourg. Last seen on TV when his daughter had a traumatic time at school. Hope they are all back to normal now, as well as can be expected.

How about a lifting keel jeanneau sundream - 28' plus a sugar scoop? Fin-keelers draw about 5' 6" I think - sold mine for £22K three years ago

I'd second LeonF and recommend looking at a Halmatic 30. Saloon layout changed with the Mk2 and there was a slight rig change as well. They are also a lot quicker than you might expect. I took one to the Med' and back in '92 and would have absolutely no qualms about doing so again.

Some great boats have been recommended, best of luck in your search.
