I've got a 3 week cruise planned from The Clyde to north of Ardnamurchan this summer. The intention is to leave Sheolin somewhere, get the train back home for a week or two, then head back for another 2 or 3 week cruise home. Any recommendations as to where I could safely leave Sheolin for a couple of weeks?

I have done similar a few times in the past. I left her anchored in Shetland and a couple of places in the Outer Isles. More realistically, you could rent a mooring at Arisaig, which I have also done, and that would be convenient for the train.

If look at Arisaig. Train back (and a great journey) to Glasgow and decent shelter.

Like Angus McD we do this a lot. But I tend to stay flexible and see where the weather takes us and when the weather suggests time to take a trip home (and come back when the bad weather bad weather has passed through).
Lots of options if plan a week ahead - which fits weather forecast horizons.
As others have said Arisaig is a good option. A mooring at Mallaig might be an option, but they are scarce so don’t count on it. Plockton another option but a long way to the train (no easy way to get to the closest station on the S shore).
Lochinver is great but extra minibus needed to get to Ullapool then bus and train (and no Lochinver link on Sundays).
We have also used Stornoway (ferry to Ullapool), Stromness (ferry, taxi, train to Inverness - slow but scenic) and Inverness (on way back from Orkneys).
Doesn’t take long to nip back round Ardnamurchan to Kerrera either - some years we have been round Ardnamurchan 6 or 8 times.
