Please do. I for one am curious to see more about the installation process.I will try to post some pics of the installation on this thread as it progresses
A few thoughts:
1) that's really a perfect placement for the thing. I didn't even think to suggest it because by heart I would have sweared that it was conflicting with the genset. But if it fits, great.
2) on top of fuel tank valves and g/boxes, doesn't it impede also the access to shaft seals, which IIRC are already hard to reach? Just saying.
3) ref. lifting the cockpit floor, I never looked carefully on your 630, but it's actually a reasonably easy job in several other V-drive Ferrettis that I inspected more carefully (165, 175, 57).
Probably worth doing without even attempting to go through the access hatch, risking to hit something along the road!
Btw, I've even seen one of those boats which was modified, installing some hinges along the stern side on the whole floor panel and a couple of electrohydraulic pistons along the sides.
This way, any e/r maintenance job becomes a mechanic dream, "en plein air" at the push of a button.
Man math would suggest to give that a thought, in the context of the gyro installation... :encouragement:
PS: if by chance your and JTB route around the Alps will include Lake Como, give me a shout. Btw, it's a stunning road to make by bike!
