Where is this? Aegean again - Miyagi Moon's not allowed to play!

Seems to be Fourni, judged by your second photo. We berthed on the 'L-shaped' pontoon in the pic but conditions were not great and we didn't stray far, so never saw your view over the headland. All the bays on the west side of the island were just about untenable due to swell. This year we looked at the east side, which proved to have several pleasant anchorages in swell-free conditions.

Thanks Vyv - useful info
Shame - the quay looks like a pleasant spot
We are heading up there next year probably at Easter so will go East side

Well done Vyv..it was indeed Fournoi. The pontoon in the main harbour is not a great berth at the best of times, especially when the big Blue star ferry arrives and fills the harbour completely. Following he advice of Jim B we moved round the corner to the next bay south which is a lovely place, very well sheltered and a good hike over the hill to the town. The town itself is pleasant and comparatively untouched by tourism. We have stayed there several times and never had any issues with swell.

OK who is next?

OK ,as nobody else is playing, here's another.

Hi there, where do you generally moor when you are there?

The best place to moor if you have a dingy to go ashore is Faros a small village near the airport, there is no port and it's completely open to the south ,but during summer it's very very rare to have south winds, i usually leave the boat there for 10-15 days. I use 2 anchors !
Another good place is Therma about a mile east of Agios Kyrikos. Inside the breakwater. Drop the ancor as close to the beach as you can and use long stern lines back to the breakwater.
I usually avoid Agios Kyrikos I only go there if I need fuel and water.
I hope this helps!
