Sat at a pub table in a Bay window looking up the Shoots Channel drinking Caffreys. Apologies to those stuck in work :-)

Are you in the pub down by the old ferry point, under the bridge? The Ferryman, Ferryboat or similar. Enjoy your beer.

wrong

When I saw u had replied I thought the game was up Alan but no. The clue is in looking UP the shoots.

not Rose Inn

Have to admit I don't even know where the Rose Inn is.I thouhght I knew all the pubs close to places you could spend the night on a boat. The answer is real easy.

Graham, where is the Royal hotel? We hope to be in the Millers Arms on Saturday night. Do you fancy joining us? I told Edwina she needs her wellies, the gardening ones, not the sailing ones!

Yes its great weather for feb. Hope U get the same at Easter.Signin off now as curry is bubbling on the stove. (Back on boat) Cheers

I don't know, but I've had that 'Where am I?' feeling mant times after drinking Caffreys.

Allan, I doubt we'll be there this weekend. I made a start fitting those new winches to the saloon roof and I now have a large hole where my vent used to be, all the headlining is in the skip and I have very little in terms of electricity inside.

You know those jobs that start with 'This won't take long........'

Get the winches bolted on tomorrow and have a few beers in the club with the music. You will then be ready for Saturday. A lack of electronics would suit the trip perfectly.

The Royal is the pub on the hill just west of Portishead theres a path around the headland from the marina Locks. I am working this weekend or would have tried to join you , weather outlook seems a bit more promising than it was.Give them a wave in the Royal as you go past.:-)

Of course! I have been it there loads of time.
Shame about the work, someone has to do it! I will give them a wave in the pub, as long as I'm not too busy avoiding them big things that float around there. I suspect there will only be two boats this time.
We are off to Portishead toward the end of March, should be quite a few of us.
