I have recently used a similar method of using washers between the perspex and grp. I used black mastic sealant. The most difficult, and very messy job, was to get the washers to stay on the bolts when getting them lined up to the holes. I dabbed a bit of mastic on each bolt to ensure the washer did not come off. It worked but it took me 3 days to get the mastic off my hands!
I used washers on both sides of the grp - about 240 in all!

Before anyone asks, using thin gloves for such small washers doesn't work.

acetone

PS build a duck punt

thanks for asking

Dylan, I hope you don't mind me asking...
...what do you think of Duck Punts?

Would you recommend building one?

I think a plastic one would be great - no maintenance, warmer to lie in, lighter, unsinkable, built in window of course

but since they are not yet in production

the only way to become a punter is to build one

do it chaps
