Wherry are you being a little economical with the truth. " You can go almost right upto the bank just here, plenty of depth ". We did get off even though it was a falling tide, good job it was a big engine !

Ah! yes....well..................I claim...no..er......................

OK I own up, that well known bit of local knowledge you think you have dosen't always work when tacking a Bav 49 (someone elses Bav 49 at that!! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif) about 10 feet /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif from the North bank of the Orwell between Levington and Trinity Quay.
My...don't they have good engines!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Damn fine sail though!

It takes a brave man to own up to his mistakes.

PS: happened to me too once before (on a rising tide tho)

The last time I went out and most of the ones before! It is the joy of sailing on the east coast and trying to see how far you can get! Most of them intentional, but now and again... /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Well after waiting for low tide moored a to a buoy in the Hadliegh Ray, I decided after an early morning coffee it was time to cast off for Limehouse.

Must have run aground on the mussel bed near the orange trawler about 3 times!
