My wheel steering has a wooden disc about half inch thick which rubs against the wheel when the adjuster is turned, I believe it is meant to be a brake or a damper ?, Is wood the correct material or should it be another material ? mine does not work very well at the moment ? Would a piece of leather either side of wood work better ?
