Co-owned a bilge keeled leisure 22 once. Was about as good at going upwind as a fart, and as we're on that theme about as dirigible as pooh-sticks.
I believe that Leisure thought the 22 was such a sailing success that they commissioned another designer to produce a different hull which would use the Leisure 22 deck moulding. That mongrel was called the Leisure 23, and said to perform significantly better than the 22. (I've seen L22s advertised as L23s, and wondered whether the misnomer was mistaken or deliberate.) Later still the L23 got a new deck moulding, with a more modern looking coachroof, and was renamed the Leisure 23 SL.
