I like the hand held thermometer thing where you point it at any part of your engine while it is running and where the laser beam touches with a red spot it gives you the temperature. So when my new (15 year old boat) finally manages to do a day on Windermere before I take it to Sea, I will know what the operating temperatures are of each working part.
