I need some hinges for the heads cabinets. I want the screwed flaps to be on the back of the cabinet and the back of the door with the hinge pin at the junction at the front. (It makes sense to me but we'll see!).

I thought double cranked were the ones but they are not.

Any help please?

This is a double crank but what I think you are looking for is hinges where the crank goes opposite ways.

If that is what you are looking the inge above could be modified by removing the pin and turning the one flap upside down to change the direction of the one crank

Yes - correct - I've done that on the camper but it is not a very strong solution and I have yet to find stainless ones.

Wow - that's not a snippet - that's a veritable fountain of help!

The first two are exactly right.

The third I have tried before - in brass. Special order - extended flaps and no holes.

Perhaps try that again.

This must be a common requirement. I hope others will benefit.

Thanks!

There's another alternative type of hinge. I've no idea what they are called either - not a great help - but we had a kitchen full of them.
They put the pivot point at the top and bottom corner of the door. I only mention it because they are a 'classic' design and likely to be available in brass.
Found them. Search for corner pivot hinge.

A search for wrap around hinges was a success and also lead to "inset hinges".

Now to find in stainless.

Thanks to all.

So the pivotal moment was getting the description & it now hinges on obtaining the correct material otherwise you are still screwed. It is clear that using this forum does open doors to a considerable source of information
