Now seriously, for this was a serious question wasn't it Forbsie, why not take the generator and a kettle, then no need for fresh water, just condense the steam for drinking water. You could take along a standard lamp to be seen by and also to allow you to read at nite if the rescue takes a little longer than expected, could also recharge all those battries in the other toys, so need a battery charger.

Oh and lots of fuel for the generator, so best have a small bowser, and would suggest a spare diesel genny just in case............................................................................../forums/images/icons/wink.gif

B*$$**rd, you said that picture was so that you could use it as reference for items for your grab bag! Now everyone will want the same /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif Brilliant weekend Forbsie, great to meet one of my long lost brothers /forums/images/icons/wink.gif Louise has banned me from Hot Chocolate before I go to bed (cuddy) now as apparently it has an adverse effect on me /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif I remember drinking it though nice and cosy around the fire /forums/images/icons/wink.gif Next thing the seagulls were tweating and it was morning /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif Anyway the little tender has now been christened, seemed to go OK. Boat back with the dealer for the Navtex and Radar to be fitted.

Cheers

Re: youre joking right?

Please re-adjust your set Ben, you seem to have a double echo!

H1, you aren't being serious are you, radar and navtex, you must be adding an extension for all this gear. When you come to sell the boat please give me first refusal, I could start my own chandlery!!

Re: youre joking right?

EXACTLY, I must see them as they will not see me. I got the biggest radar reflector possible, but I still don't trust it. I got the biggest aerial possible for the VHF but the delaer wired it to my depth sounder and all I got all weekend was SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Oh and when I was trying to see why the DSC radio was not picking up the GPS signal i had my electrician (Duncan) check for a fault, there wasn't really one there, just that they had not connected the wires /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif Just as well I didn't press that little red button and expect help !! So all in all I have been happy with my dealer /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif Let's hope the bow thruster doesn't cause them too many problems, don't like the idea of that being connected to the main engine by mistake, I could get pretty dizzy, pretty quick /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Re: i bet he\'s not joking

i think he is somewhat underquipped with just one genny and no spare. I saw no sign of an icemaker, and also it took him ages to trudge off to do the washing up, so a small dishwasher should be considered. Sailbad was v impressed with the waterproof chart holders, although since his charts (extending to mid-atlantic) are waterproof they may not be necessary.

Re: youre joking right?

Look out for the For Sale sign in September One Glastron rarely used (due to it being in the dealer having more bit's put on) FULLY LOADED /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif AND it still does 42.2 knts 50mph with all the family on (3 adults, 1 kid) and spare engine and dinghy. Could be scary with no equipment and one driver. Apparently I was airborne for a good bit of the way yesterday, BarryH just saw my prop in the water NOTHING else /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif The turbo makes all the difference /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Re: youre joking right?

My son Will (16yrs) who you saw at the meet is a very, very experienced diver. He would be happy to help anyone in return for a trip on their boat, I am also an advanced diver and would keep an eye on him. Believe me we have the full dive kit for all eventualities /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif He is hoping to go and look for Col's prop, but he is in O'Level mode at the moment, he has his French exam today and just realise he can't speak French!! Will is also an underwater photographer with all his own underwtare cameras and equipment (digital and SLR), he is also an underwater videographer, may be of use to some people on here.

Re: What\'s in your grab bag?

I thoroughly enjoyed it as well, Pete. I thought that you were very gallant taking the dishes up to the loo block instead of admiting that doing the toast hadn't left enough juice in the jenny for the dishwasher. This lot would just have taken the mickey, so you did best leaving it in the cuddy. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

New Product \'Grab Sack\' get yours now

There is a new product out called a 'Grab Sack' it has different compartments in it for electrical, fuel, navigation, clothing, liferaft, shaving kit e.t.c. Perhaps you should ring the Chandelry and ask about it, it takes the Honda EU10i gennie and the dishwasher no problem, it also takes a 5 gallon can of spare fuel /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif In fact whay not have a 'Grab boat' /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif or a 'Grab Chandlery'
