What you don't like in your boat?

Heavenly Twins 27 - there's no way to fit a helming seat in the cockpit and when I put a cockpit cushion on the coaming instead the stupid dog nicks it and I nearly smother him when I sit back down. I wish the stoop thrus were 6 inches taller.

I know I keep doing this and I am sorry, but I have solved this...

I, well, Ms Dogwatch bought a folding bar stool which is great. It is a little wide for a position directly behind the helm, but this is solved by opening the locker by the port cabin and placing the back legs of the stool into the locker (this is our rope locker so easy to shift things about). The seat is not too heavy and when folded sits flat against the starboard bulkhead.

I think she got it from George-Henry-Lees but I would have to ask again.

It looks very much like this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/FOLDING-STOOL-BLACK-SEAT- but has a beech seat.

Dislike

centre cockpit as it means leaving cabin a freezing hop across cockpit into saloon, down into stbd hull and finally to the heads... We have a cockpit tent, but this does little to assist the -1°C temp on New Years morning.

The fact you can't walk to the edge of the boat means leaning over to grab lines, fish etc from the stern leaves only lying flat on the foredeck hanging over if you are for example trying to tie off to a bare buoy.

Likes

centre cockpit, it is dry and when blowing you can hunker down and stay warm. There is much better privacy and no need to close saloon doors if you don't want to be over-looked when lots of boats rafted on a wall for example.

dislike

stbd genoa sheet is 13ft away.
