What works best in the Ionian?

Wind? Cosmote? Vodafone? other? Mostly for internet.

I am sure those who frequent that area will be along to offer advice shortly. On the odd occasion that I have used Vodafone in the Ionian and also the Pelopenese I have often had a better signal than here on the south coast.

I've found little to choose between Wind and Vodafone in the Greek Ionian, but WIND superior on the Italian side.

Wind has some odd dead spots especially Preveza to Paxos. Not completely dead but very poor speeds which is a pain if you are Preveza 'resident'. Vodafone pretty good but last sason I had good reports about Cosmote.

So it's basically 'pays yer money and takes your choice!'

While I was in the Ionian, I bought a Wind F2G sim for my Android phone. Cheap for data and good speed in most places

We found wind data mostly has GPRS data- phone contact fine. If the data aspect is what is most important then Cosmote. Before the olympics cosmote re equipped the country and you get G3 almost everywhere including 30 miles from Leros in Lavidia (I know thats not the Ionian!) They apparently spent a fortune of borrowed state money.
