Look forward to seeing your pics.

Mines in my profile gallery so no point in posting up here but remarkably (or maybe not), follows the exact same sequence just the timescale's been squished a bit..

2009: 18ft Bayliner 1750 Bowrider
2010: 19ft Fletcher 19GTS Cuddy
2011: 27ft Rinker 250 Pocket Cruiser

Going to enjoy 2011 just as much as 2010 and 2009, just for different reasons. Lovely looking boat your latest one btw

Family had two of these;

Family then went to Denemark to get one of these... which I inherited when my father passed away ... so this was the first one being mine...

25 years ago my first was a Fletcher arrowflyte with a 40 hp evinrude ,then moved up to a Fletcher16 GTO with 80 hp blueband mercury ( very greedy engine ) ,Then wife - house - kids until 2005 when we bought the Bayliner ,( 5.7 v8 , very greedy again )

then Bavaria 30 with single D4 / 300 ( very economical )

Alderney012-2.jpg

Sold last year so now boatless looking for sub 40 ft flybridge within my budget :(

the Bavaria is nice Andy, I've alway's liked them, don't you regret having sold her ?

Every day the sun shines i regret selling her Bart ,:( and to be honest i didnt think we would sell so quickly ,( top marks Ancasta ) but we want to go further away and spend more time aboard with a bit more living space so we sold and started saving again . Cant wait to get back on the water .

Prototype 14'x7' dinghy catamaran, followed by canoes, a Heron Dinghy, a Westerly 25 & now;

32' Westerly Pentland Ketch
2 canoes & a wave board
a Solo dinghy
a Laser Dinghy
a Minisail
3x inflatables (one burst)
a 9'6" wooden sailing dinghy
a pair of historic PBK canoes awaiting re-canvasing at a pal's place (I hope!)

Somehow, one just tends to accumulate stuff over time . . . :rolleyes:

First boat late seventies Princess 32 on the thames
second Broom Crown 37 thames and south coast
third Sealine F36 hard working sea school boat in the med
fourth Princess 560 (currently for sale)
fifth and currently in use Surfrider Jet Boat, trips out of the marina.

This un and I still have it. Even if I win the lottery, I will never part with it, new engine etc maybe and taken to the Ionian to sit alongside my new Squaddie 42 (dream on), but can't imagine ever selling it. Its my home practically every weekend in summer, even if it is a bit cramped in the cuddy.

A great thread.......

Boat 1 - 1973 Freeman 23, had this for a season or two then wanted to venture onto the coast

PICT1261.jpg

Boat 2 - 1986 Fairline Carrera, I re-engined with a new VP V6 225hp then set up a business 3 years later and it had to go :-( lost a fortune (on the boat that is!)

Carerra1.jpg

Boat 3 - Brough in 2009 after a 4 year absence, another 1972 Freeman 23 to get me back on the water and ensure OH enjoyed boating

And current boat, a very recent addition - 2003 Sealine S23
