What was your first boat? What have you got now?

First boat that got me into boating was an O' Sullivan Skellig (17ft) which was my fathers. Library pic here:

Then my father and I went halfers on a 19ft Anglers Fancy, to get us onto the inland lakes of Ireland. Another library pic:

Then when I was 16 I bought myself a LEncraft 5.75m RIB. This was my first boat that I actually owned:

Then there were a few more RIB's and small sports cruisers in between.

Current boat is an S23:

Then for fun is the Thundercat (Surf Rescue boat) which we race. AKA. The Back-Breaker:

Racing.. that's us ahead ;)

These things don't like to stay up-right for too long:

Hope to get a bigger sports cruiser soon. Give me a chance, i'm only 24 :)

Always wish I had bought an S23 instead of the 19' Fletcher. Nothing wrong with it but it was not a big enough jump from an 18' bowrider.

Didn't want to make the same mistake again hence i replaced the Fletch with the Bav29. Might sell the Bav this year - looking for something Scandanavian

I had one of those Fletchers except badged 'Panther' with the 1.7 merc diesel. Great starter diesel but soon tired of it. Having said that, had some GREAT time on her!

Next boat for me is looking like S28, but tempted to go to the likes of F33... all in good time I guess

First boat a 2003 Sealine S23 bought in 2008.

Current boat, same 2003 Sealine S23!!

Two and a half years after purchasing her we still have no plans to change.

Started in variuos canoes
Inflatables etc
Then bought first proper boat MF635
Changed to Monterey 250CR - fun when weather was fine, but outdrive, too much canvas and walk through screen not for us.
Now got Prestige 32 FB and love it.
Next boat will be either trawler yacht or even a nauticat...

Love the red 1966 Ford Cortina.

Yeh, a real blast from the past, photo only came to light at Christmas during a clear out!

Had endless problems with that old Cortina. Clutches, gear boxes. Then Ford didn't seem to understand case hardening, so cam shafts. Oh, and a rear axle!

Paid £783 new for that car. At the end on 12 months Ford sent me a letter complaining they'd spent over £900 on the car! A real Dagenham Dustbin, got shot of it. No doubt now resting in that great scrapyard in the sky!

(Off topic warning)

All Fords are the bloody same. Our dustbin costs us a fortune per year just to do the sum total of a little under 1k miles a year. Why do we bother?

First boat was my Dads 1959, 13ft Danvercraft with 30hp Bundy outboard

Now have a Jeanneau sailyboat.

Then 1st keel boat, Mystic 22
then:
505, 505, RS300, RS400, Contender, Phantom, Otter, Topaz, Kestrel, Phantom, 59er, Phantom (dinghies)
then first mobo
Sunseeker Portofino 31 which we still have

Many of these overlapped!

Sorry no pics but boat history as follows:-
Warning, contains some sailing boats!
Mirror Dinghy - Sail. Firefly - Sail. Dell Quay 19 Fisher - Dad's boat. Dateline Bikini speed boat. Laser 5000 - Sail. Humphreys Prefix 22 - Sail. 5m RIB. Nehaven Sea Warrior 27.

First (and current, being a 'newbie') - 1981 Fletcher ArrowFlyte. Good fun, easy to launch/recover and a great starter to get us on the water. We are very limited on distance, sea conditions and carrying capacity however, so looking for something around 21' as and when funds permit. Found a nice project Arrowbolt but cash-flow proving prohibitive as I'm sure it is for many!

Another 'newbie' my first and current boat, a Karnic 2050. A great little boat although im already thinking of something bigger in the next year or two.

BartW this pic was taken near Cowes, although could be mistaken for Croatia eh?!
