What size chain for bollard mooring?

it would be a good idea to run the chain through some anti-chafe hose. That would also have the advantage of keeping down any noise from the chain as it moves.

If you're going to use an anti-chafe hose/sleeve, you might as well just put rope through it and forget about the chain?

Are those chain connectors as good as a shackle? Assuming the latter is used correctly.

When I was researching for Ariam's new ground tackle, I found some that were. Obviously there are substandard knockoffs of almost every design, but I certainly wouldn't dismiss these maillons out of hand.

I made up some new bridles last year, to use on buoys and wall eyes.
I used 6mm s/s, as my previous ones that were 8mm galvanized and not used too often rusted to hell!
