OK first thing... I would never set sail without my First Officer so I am vey glad she was not left benind...

Second, should I offer her a promotion? Rear Admiral of my fleet perhaps?

Friend of mine was giving advice to his wife about something in the galley and her response was: "You might be the skipper up on deck by I am the skipper down here". She is know as the DS or Downstairs Skipper.

So, from your original itinerary was do you wish you had left behind and what should you have brought with you?

We thought we would leave the UK behind in a couple of weeks. Didn't work out like that.

However finally left it last week!!
Did buy a mini sewing machine and a battery power Dyson. V pleased with both

At one stage in my misbegotten life I owned a clothing factory. Walking around the shop floor with a cup of coffee in my hand I watched a lady, very much in clacking mode, slide her hand under the sewing head of her machine and stitched her fingers together. Much later stood beside her in A&E whilst the Doctor tried to figure out how to stitch four fingers that had been stitched already. Fascinating but very noisy and technicolourish.
