They/I haven't, though I've nicked some of Doug's suggestions
Thread started as a result of some comments about The Shipwreck being expensive, though only one of those who commented has replied here
From the website they do seem a little highly priced on some things, but this could be down to having higher than normal quality. But unless people say which it is, I can see why Shotley are going to find it a little difficult to answer the comments
If they're doing a low quality bar menu, and charging those prices, I can see why people are complaining, but not many seem to be willing to say which it is
Like Jim's idea though, £100 sounds very reasonable![]()
Dave, I dont think its the prices per se that are the problem. I for one don't mind paying a little extra for decent grub. But at the Shipwreck, the quality isn't there to match. The burger is a thin low quality affair, stuck in a plain white 'value range' bun, with a bit of grated cheddar stuck on it, a less than generous portion of very ordinary chips and some lettuce topped off with half a tomato. Its just not very exciting. In my opinion its worth less than a fiver.
