Your absolutely right, if Dave lets CI go he will definitely have to canoe more - come to think of it, it might be a good thing....slow him down a bit!
I'm on my way to Puerto-madog now to meet up with him and try and talk him out of this nonesense....I think it's a phase he's going through....not been feeling himself recently.

That sort of logical thought will get you nowhere!
You are quite right that owning a boat does seem to yield never-ending issues and expenditure. On the other hand there are those magical times when on the water, anchored off a beach, skimming the waves, spending the night around the back of Brownsea Isalnd etc. And how can you put a price on those?
