I actually had to re-type the post after foolishly changing page and losing the first version before sending it - in that first version I even said "perhaps they've turned them off again after seeing the reaction"
Ah, is this the confusion? People misreading my posts to think I'm saying that an adblocker isn't working properly? To be very clear, I'm not saying that at all. I was suggesting that the forum might not have been working properly. A modern Web page is a very complicated thing under the covers, and it's quite easy to make a mistake that causes pieces of it not to be displayed. Some classes of mistake will affect only certain browsers (for example, Firefox will tolerate a rogue comma at the end of a Javascript array, Internet Explorer will not) so different people see different things on the page. I was suggesting that YBW's developers might have made such a mistake in adding the ads, causing the different experiences people have reported. Nothing to do with adblockers at all.
