Hi, My dear old boat is celebrating her 50th this year and I thought I would tart up the deck, she is covered in a very well done pale blue non slip paint that I am sure was all the rage in the 70's but looks a bit dated now ? so I tried some "beige" colour that came out a sort of yellowy carrot colour ! I'm thinking of going to light grey but what do you guys think looks good or what is the current trendy colour ?

No trendy colour. Painted decks are from the past - grey, blue and sand were/are the most popular and still in the premixed range. Personal choice as doubt the style police could give a stuff!

I used International Interdek Pale Blue for years and would have continued doing so but they stopped making that colour. I have repainted my coachroof top with Interdeck Light Grey and I like that better than the Pale Blue so next step is to paint the deck with it.

So, to answer JMC1764's question, I think Interdek Light Grey looks good.

Interdeck Grey looks very odd on International's colour chart.

Was that the Westerly Blue? They used to have a recipe for making it online: Interdeck White + 10% Toplac Oxford Blue, iirc. I have a new and unopened tin of The Real Thing in my garage, available to anyone who can find a way of getting it. No carrier will touch amateur packed paint.

This is the current Interdeck range. I don't like that Squall Blue and now use Grey. But each to his own, as they say.

Give up on all the painting and have some Flexiteak fitted-doesn’t chip or fad and as other mobo posts on forum shows looks very smart . I gather some have cork decks now which might be worth checking out.

Carry on with a blue. When the new gets damaged the old appears and it looks ok. I don't like the carrot colour personally. But as, said each to their own.

Doing mine in hempel cream non slip + white gloss, but she is from the 70s with a lot of wood so figure it needs to add up to beige. I can now see that blue masking tape with my eyes closed.
