What is the best marina in Guernsey

Really depends how long you plan to stay and if you are looking to spend time in St Peter port or not.
There is the private marina in the north of the island called beaucette which is built out of an old quarry and is tidal. Nice restaurant there also but not much else apart from coastal walks.

The main visitor marina is Victoria marina in St Peter port, they have the swing mooring pontoons for visitors available at anytime and booking often not required but there is no shore power. If you speak to the marina office the staff will guide you into the visitor berths in marina on the change of tide, best to prebook if you know when you’re going to arrive and depart. The marina facilities are worth noting as great showers etc.

St Peter Port Turn up and they will find you a space a total of about, a large visiting boat capacity over 350 boats, no prebooking, if for example you are large say 65ft plus or deep draft over 2.2m call in advance to advise them and see what they say.

Beaucette Marina as described above small visitor capacity, call in advance to see if they have capacity, a good restaurant, a quiet place well out of town , good walks, nearby beaches, golf course etc

St Peter Port Swan Pontoons in the pool 24 hour access, quieter (traffic Noise etc than Victoria, but no shore power, walk ashore to Crown Pier.

Victoria Marina tidal access , wait on Swan Pontoons until sill covers, in the centre of St Peter Port, lots of bars and restaurants, shore power & WIFI.

Guernsey is also a good stop off for a fuel stop ( about £1.05 for diesel) and onward travel to Brittany or Normandy.

It is also worth mentioning that the entrance to Beaucette will have your eyes out on stalks the first time you try it.
The channel is plenty wide enough, but the rising rocky walls on either side will not lower your pulse.

No exaggeration here! The outcrops on the way there can look quite alarming too. Once you’re in though, the shelter is excellent, and the general ambience lovely.

We love Beaucette, particularly nice if you have a dog, our labrador loved it.

St Peter Port and Beaucette are very different and you would stay at them for different reasons. If you are looking for a peaceful stay and nice walks then it's Beaucette hands down. If you want shopping, restaurants and bars and don't mind the hustle and bustle then it's St Peter Port. Both however are wonderful places to visit.

Our last trip we moored in Beaucette for 5 days and rented a car for 3 days to tour the island, the bus down to St Peter Port from Beaucette is also quite straightforward although a little inconvenient if the weather isn't great.

I believe there are no restrictions on dogs coming from UK , Jersey, Alderney etc providing they arrived from UK. If they arrived from or Via France or EU its Quarantine.
