I am considering removing much of my profile, after receiving a PM from some one, who had obviously checked my profile and searched my posts. S/He then gave me a full detailed account of me,my boat, where I live, what I do etc.

We often innocently give away too much information over numerous posts which can then be harvested by people.

I had a spat with a forumite, because I am pretty open with my details he then proceeded to track me down and texted me calling me a prat, he didnt have the balls to send it from a phone so that I would then have his phone number.
Funny folk around!

'cause he has been around since 2002 - well before this recent trolling started.

Interesting you're the second person in 3 days who has challenged who I am using exactly the same words. Are you too related to VikingChris? With a boat name and a marina location in your profile - it is very difficult to pretend to be someone you are not. Just ask some one in the same marina - and it's not rocket science to work out how to do that....not that anyone would vouch for me. I'm just a figment of someones imagination.

As a previous post says - no one has to do anything. Leave your profile empty. Doesn't matter to me at all. There will however be quite a few who will not take you seriously in these stupid (but very entertaining!) threads.

I will not take any comments seriously from anyone with a blank profile. That is an 'ignore' action. If we all do that, the trolls would be diminished.

Ah! But you'd be found out, because there are two forum members there right now. Plus a few more members have friends down there, wheels within wheels and all that, however I couldnt give a tinkers fart where you are or whether you are a troll or not, doesnt bother me one iota!

Looks like the tides taking this Troll out, hopefully not to return. Entertainment value as a Troll 1/10 as a Muppet 10/10

Yes, welcome!! Do tell us some of your liveaboard type sailing stories/experiences, please. Love to hear about the carribean etc. and how you got there and all that type of stuff, interesting it all is.
