What is a Pontoon boat ?

Yes I have seen the thing, just didn't dawn on me these 'boats' had their own classification. I had more assumed powered raft thing !

They are used all over the world and have been around for ages they are called Pedalos

I wonder if it was a delivery mistake... supposed to go to New York marina... someone smudged the New... that surely is the only reason it would have arrived in the UK?

In New Zealand they have a selection of pontoon boats, but with a far more purposefull look.

Stabicraft, Kiwicraft, Senator, Extreme and Osprey are just a few. Take big outboards too!

Google them and take a look.

Nothing like the American lake and river boats, thats for sure!

They are serious craft for fishing, work or leisure. Often 6mm tubes and 4 or 5mm for the rest.

I quite fancy one.............................
