What has been your high of the season

Two highs for us, the day we sold our saily boat and the day we bought a motor boat. :D

Amazingly all done and dusted within 4 weeks!

After importing our Robalo 2520 from 1981...

And doing too much restoration work in a few weeks...

And trailering the boat for 1200 kms from Utrecht Netherlands to South of France....

The Highlight of 2016 was a great trip from port of St Raphael to Iles de Lerins (just off the coast from Cannes)

Having given up the boat in 2010, we were in Alcudia in September and decided on a whim to charter a Sealine for the day, and took off to the other side of Alcudia and anchored for the day at Es Calo, perfect day, flat seas, and a whole lot of fun. Fast forward to October and we are now looking for a boat again. Forgotten how much fun you can have when it all goes 100%. Slightly came down to earth when we refueled it again, but definitely got the boat mojo back.

A small thing I know but my best way a sail from Plymouth to Fowey in August.
F3/4 Northerly made the sea flattish and we only had to dump the main twice in gusts the whole way.
Weather sunny and warm.

Does not happen often........................

I give up. Can someone please tell me how to post a photo
Best done with a photo hosting site like Photobucket. You need to load your pics to Photobucket, then copy the link to your post. If you use the search function on this forum, pop Photobucket in, you will find some helpful tips. There are alternatives to Photobucket, but I haven't yet used them.

exactly what we did last week but in a motor boat. Very tame I know but ticked off a dream of 15 years sitting on the shore in Fowey.

Highlight of the year for us was the first trip from the upper Thames out on to the tideway to Ramsgate and back. Sunshine, dolphins( or possibly porpoises) and Hern bay airshow on route. Now we have the bug to go further a field

Crossing the Channel and spending 3 idyllic days in Salcombe. In the 12 years that I have been visiting Salcombe I have never experienced such sunny and settled weather. Absolutely beautiful.

Its bay of Hyeres opposite the isle d' Porquerolles
And it's not a perfect reflection the photo is upside down

Rafiki advised I use photobucket. I managed to upload but when it came to figuring out how to link it in a post, well I was out of my depth.
The post quick reply seems to allow the insertion of some photo not others (never mind its penchant for upside down )
Its a learning curve I guess
