I have a switch on my dashboard called RES, I have never used it but decided to look in my manual and there is no explanation for what this means. Any gueses what this RES would do?

Is the dash generally labelled in English or Norwegian? Could the question be what does RES mean in Norwegian?

Is the label engraved or printed on the switch OEM-style, or is it a diy label?

A long time ago I took some lessons in a small aeroplane, and the instructor had a red plastic ' panic button' stuck onto the dash...... The newbies always asked what it did.

Thanks for the suggestions, the boat is a Skildo 975 Article there is a dash board with a lot of switches in English with all the usual headings such as water pump etc . I don't think this is anything to do with resuming something more of an on off switch.

I speak a little Norwegian and I am not aware of the word ‘res”. Norwegian for reserve is reserve (pronounces “reserve ah” (the language does get trickier than that) It can translate into English as reserve or spare.
