what boat do you have

I was actually in Bangor today, looking at a boat with a friend, and spotted your boat through the lashing rain.
She's right down the bottom of F at the mo. I wasn't there today but I'm glad I missed the lashing rain :D
Hope the boat you looked at was a good 'un!

Ahh... Ben you really do know your stuff!

So was the Lallows Hull supplied with a 4pot motor at the time of filming?

Tricky!

She was built in 61, so predates the Ford Dorset by about 8 years. In 2001 she had a 4 pot Dorset marinised by Mermaid, I looked at her and the 4 pot put me off, Charles L bought her.

At a guess she was built with a Parsons marinised turbo charged Ford 4D or a petrol.

Lovely repower for a boat like that, I’m sure. Got one myself. Powerful things and great on fuel too, I find. I can cruise around 2100-2200rpm nudging on mid 20’s gps and about 17-19 litres per hour from memory. Very frugal at that. Although flat out at 5100ish rpms and not far off 70 gps…she’ll use over 80 litres an hour, last I looked.

finished in couple of months, planning to launch in Mallorca in April, fingers crossed.

Against all instincts I’ve bought new, a Girbau 28 cabin, a small boatbuilder from Girona, Costa Brava.

I’ve always loved Mediterranean style boats, my first was a Menorqin and the Girbau takes a modern twist on this style, in my opinion anyway.
Fingers crossed!
I’ve seen a couple in Empuriabrava (Costa Brava). Perfect day boat for that coastal area. Where are you going to keep it?
