I'm currently in a situation where my motorboat's outboard engine is experiencing performance issues, possibly due to a damaged propeller. I'm seeking guidance on the key factors to consider when selecting a new propeller to ensure that I choose the right size, pitch, and material for optimal engine efficiency and overall boat performance.

Commonly in Denmark. Dizzy Too, most of the time.

For a planing boat the key points are available hp, ready-to-go weight, engine max recommended rpm at wide open throttle and desired performance (speed vs pull).

State your engine make and model (to identify hp and the gear range), boat GW and I'll squeeze the figures into a calculator.

You can find calculators on the web too, I just like my own better ;)

Spot on above. If I can just summarise the exact details required
What engine do you have specifically?
What prop do you have now ?
What rpm and mph in gps are you seeing now when full throttle and trimmed well
Ideally the gear ratio too, but I can find that if you tell me the engine details and year.
The type of boat might be handy too.
All the best.

A photo of the engine on the boat and a close up of the prop would also assist your enquiry...
