it is great to see a bloke trying out all sorts of new ideas
and we will all need to come to terms with more solar panels everywhere, - on i=our houses, in our gardens, on our cars and yes on our boats

I agree. I'm not keen on nuclear but really can't see any alternative. There simply isn't enough wind/sun and its not blowing/shining when you want it.No, maybe today's rumours that govt is re-thinking wind turbines will be the turning point on the road to recognition that blind alleys should be avoided! Pity we have to live with the follys for the next 20 years or so and hope that the announcement of Hitachi taking over some of the nuclear capacity is a sign that sanity is returning to energy policy.
