westerly renown

does anyone have information on westerly renowns?
Also, will they sit safely on mud in shallow water with yacht legs or does this put too much strain on fin/skeg. We wish to berth a boat like this but are worried that continual grounding would be no good for this design although the mud is good!!! no rocks etc. thankyou

If the Renown has a bolted-on iron keel it is very unlikely that any damage will be caused by drying on legs. Some Westerlys had a reputation for being rather lightly constructed around the keel fixings but a Renown may well not be one of these. Suggest you search Scuttlebutt for a thread "Drying out" and here for "Yacht legs" for some more info on legs.
