Welcome to Crete

It's a funny 'ol world..Sussex coast, Bright warm sunshine, 11 C, light airs and I can see 3 open 'day angler' boats just offshore. :)

A bit parky here in Finike with northerlies gusting off the snowy peaks. Bright sunshine, though, and promised to warm up by the weekend.
Oh, and the power just tripped, so I'll have another coffee whilst the sander's at a standstill.

9 deg C, strong winds with gusts into F8, hail this morning, and a violent surge in the marina. Can I go home now please? :(

Bouncy but safe round here in Spinalonga, highest gust 58.5 knots during the night.

I think you both doing better than us on C, we seem to have draged the main chain back about a meter so quite a few of us have taken a knock, plus one lecy box down.......fun fun...

Hope there's not too much damage. T'was fun getting ashore in the dinghy, don't think he'll be coming back for me this evening!

The 45kg Spade is doing fine thanks John with the good old 25 kg chum, and about 50 of chain, im not even seeing the chum come out of the water on the gusts, i feel for our friends in the marina, its not good being stuck with no place to run, our thoughts are with them. have a great Christmas love to mrs moo xx

Hi Tony,

We do hope that your safe and sound. A bit breezy here with some light rain showers. Tucked up indoors nice and warm.

peter

Thanks Peter, we're fine. The boat next door snapped two lines and a mooring ring failed a little way up the pontoon so the yacht attached hit the pontoon doing minor damage. It seems to be easing off now. Clean up day tomorrow.
