This site will give you wind direction and speed via NOAA you need to enter lat/long, choose windgram 0-84h, and when the table comes up go to bottom of page for text results.

If you have broadband or some other "always on" connection, you can get Weather Watcher.

It lives in the bar at the bottom of the screen and updates itself automatically. The forecasts seem to be as reliable as any of the others

I have the most of those on my website already mentioned. The met. office synoptic charts I have recently updated with more.

BTW does everyone like the way the links open in a new window on my website or do you prefer on one wbpage and then going back and forth for comparisons?
