Any one have any ideas as to the possiblity of removing the stains/marks on my plastic windows. These have been caused by a hamfisted myself who looks as if he's ruined them with weatherproofing liquid.

If its just dirt/greasy stuff would use a mild degreaser like a car body shampoo in plenty of water. Work up to a stronger car shampoo or degreaser if necessary. Or could try Autoglm Fast Glass, which might shift wax.
Microfibre cloths help to reduce risk of scratching and are cheap enough these days. I use them for most cleaning and polishing jobs on the car/boat .

If the plastic windows remain stained and if the plastic is scratched could try this

It certainly improved clarity of our old canopy windows which had ingrained dirt and scratches. But use it gently and dont expect a miracle result. I had nothing to lose as it was quite an old canvas and just wanted to get another season out of it.

That's exactly the stuff that I used. I used it at the start of last season and some of it got onto the windows. I was hoping that if someone else had done the same they might know how to remove the marks.
I used it in a spray and where it went onto the edges of the plastic, it not only turned it milky but actually pitted it. Tried detergents, various cleaners and polishing with brasso but to no avail.

Before the start of the season I took the opportunity to take apart the sprayhood and make and install new windows. For a hamfisted one, I surprised myself on how good a job the windows turned out. I thought I would finish off the job by waterproofing the canvas. Like l'escargot I used a spray to apply the waterproofing and I got overruns on all the windows.
It would be a shame to have to replace the windows so soon. I will try all your suggestions before I replace the windows again. If I do have to replace them I will remember to do the waterproofing before stitching in the new windows and not after.
If any of your suggestions have any effect I will let the forum know.
Thanks to all who have offered advice and suggestions.
