Just happened across this on the Met Office website. The gadget puts an icon on the desktop (Firefox & Vista only) that gives you quick access to forecasts including Shipping & Inshore waters. It seems quite handy.

Maybe you could put some pressure on them to provide it to Finland as well.

Helina, I have been using the FMI testbed. It covers the south coast down to Hanko. It is even accessible (and just about readable) from a decent mobile phone browser (Nokia S60). For some reason Harmaja has dropped off the reporting stations - but that is OK because you can observations from there from the normal Helsinki weather page.

I've been looking at test bed too, not very bad at all.
As for forecasts I use Lokki on the mobile - like it quite a lot.
 
The testbed is nice - have to check how it works with my phone N80.
Planning to get Navtex in the near future.
