I see that the web site at www.onlineweather.com has withdrawn its free sailing forecast and now wants to charge for its " Corporate " services , which now includes the previous free sailing forecast. Is there a web site where you can get a free 3 day sailing forecast ?

Play around with these for the information that you require, as Katoema is based on the West Coast of France. There are plenty more out of France, but may not be suitable for your purposes.

Did not offer that site as a suggestion, as I assumed that anyone in the UK would go there first. My company subscribes to certain services of the Met Office, as we are involved in Climate Change through our official United Nations Environment Programme participating institution.

There are lots more sights to be found, if you like to forecast from the synopsis.

bill, during the volvo ocean race the boats were required to post all their weather sites for each leg, maybe you could contact them, the volvo website, or madfor sailing. i got all the websites for the miami baltimore leg as this is where i currently sail, and those guys really found some good ones,

the met office do a nice one that used to be paid for by thenews.co.uk and made available on their own sites ( and chiobserver,iow gazette etc.....but no longer.

It's available from the met, but costs £1 a go, I think......maybe ybw should pay for it and put it here ?<G>

Try greatweather.co.uk it links you to many different sites with 72 hour forecasts and charts.

Useful site is www.ukweather.freeserve.co.uk, you can pick up the met office MSLP charts for upto 5 days ahead via a German University ( complete with met office logo, but free ), plus forecasts, sat and radar pics.
