Saw this on my travels recently... where was and what is it?

The sun agle is about 60 degs, so if taken around lunchtime, no not enough people eating in the background. Say 1100 or 1500, then southern part of USA ? Modest tidal range.

Small yacht has had ID marks modified, so it must be a country with "organised" registration.

And the gulls look American... :) Sarasota ?

Nope, different hemisphere... extra clues, if you were to pan up to the horizon there would be something iconic, turn about 90 degrees right there's something else undeniably iconic.

Yep, Sydney harbour... even the skipper was wearing a silver jumpsuit and the outboard is sprayed silver. He was just trolling up and down, not at all sure why. Eventually he ran out of fuel and had to be towed over to the other side of the harbour by a water taxi:o More photos... it has been completely covered with small mirror mosaic tiles... sunglasses obligatory:D
