Water heater connection

I'm trying to connect a water heater with 1/2" BSP connector to my existing 5/8" OD plastic pipework. I tried a pl astic push-fit 1/2" BSP to 15 mm connector but the 5/8 pipe wouldn't seal in the 15 mm fitting. Any help/suggestions thankfully received.

I'd get a 1/2" BSP with a male hose connector of the appropriate diameter on it and a circlip. If necessary, warm the plastic pipe to fit over the hose connector.

I suspect you will need to find a plastic pipe connector that suits your plastic pipe. Nearly every country uses 1/2 inch BSP fittings so the connectors for your pipe should have one with a 1/2 inch connector.
