Not sure if this is the right place to post this request (mods, feel free to move to relevant forum as required)
Can anyone offer a chance of a day sail on the South Coast (Brighton to Southampton) for my wife and I?
We both have started dinghy sailing and completed the RYA pts 1 and 2. I have completed my Day Skipper Theory and have been involved with waterskiing boats for many years, but never sailing. We own 3 dinghies and a Shipmate Senior trailer sailer, but haven't managed to sail the Shipmate due to a number of problems.
We are both really keen to try a sail on a bigger boat, but can only do a day sail rather than a weekend trip.
We live in Worcester Pk in Surrey, so most places on the South coast are about an hour or so away.
Very happy to learn as much as possible about sailing (especially the bigger boats) and have no problems with assisting with payment for fuel, food, mooring fees, etc for the day. We are also unsure of our sea legs, so that is another reason why a day sail only is required (not sure if we get seasick as we've never tried this before!!)
So if anyone would like a couple of complete novice 40 yr olds aboard their craft for a day, please get in contact. Or if you know anyone who could offer us a day sail, then feel free to pass this message on.
Many thanks,
Mike
